Francesco Gambella was born in Rome on 27 December 1973 and the story of his life is worth telling. At the age of three month two heart attacks and the difficulties of growing up as a "normal" child, taught him to face life with a unique attitude. He began his activity as a canoe sailor at the age of 12, and the craze for this sport has pushed him to reach important goals since he was a young boy.

   The spirit of adventure that characterizes him drove him to venture upon extreme adventures, all brought to an end, on his high rank canoe and on a high seas kayak. Being sensitive to invalids’ problems, he often dedicated his performances to people who have serious health conditions.
